On the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, the EU recalls that attacks on education deprive children of their fundamental right to learn, impact their immediate and long-term development and deprive them from a better and more peaceful future.

Today, a first batch of 1 million computer and arts textbooks printed in the EU for Ukrainian schoolchildren will be delivered to Ukrainian authorities. These newly printed books, in Ukrainian, will bring the total number of textbooks for Ukraine since the start of the war to 1.5 million.
