Egypt’s Sustainable Energy Outlook 2040 Cooperation for Shared Prosperity

High-level Conference co-hosted by the EU and the Government of Egypt in Cairo on pioneering energy security by 2040. Taking place in the context of the strong links between the EU and Egypt, marked by a Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership Agreement, the conference will focus on advancing the development of a sustainable energy policy in Egypt with EU support under the upcoming ‘Trans-Mediterranean Renewable Energy and Clean-Tech Cooperation Initiative’ (T-MED). This event will engage Egyptian stakeholders across the energy sector, with a particular focus on sustainable energy, technical capacity building, and strategic partnerships that will accelerate Egypt’s transition to a modern, resilient, and decarbonized energy system. During the conference, the EU will announce two flagship projects under the T-MED initiative.
