Board Meeting of the European Union Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian crisis

The joint session of the 15th Trust Fund Board and 17th Operational Board of the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis, better known as the Madad Fund,  brings  together EU Member States, donors and key implementing partners around the same table to reflect on a decade of work.

Created in 2014, the Madad Fund is one of the EU’s flagship tools for responding to the Syrian crisis. Over ten years, it supported more than 12 million Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities across Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Türkiye, strengthening national systems and helping boost resilience in some of the region’s most affected areas.

The Board is meant to review the Fund’s final results and key takeaways, now that all actions have been completed. The floor is also open for discussing the remaining steps in the winding-down process.
